Janie's 5th Birthday

Oh my Jane-Jane. 5 looks good on you! Thank you for being such a patient angel child!

Still obsessed with "litstick"... She sits in front of the mirror putting it on for about ten minutes until it is just right...
For her sensitive eyes. She just can't stand "how bright the sun is on my chest!" My fair babe...
 Hooray!...
 5...
Janie got an awesome Super Hero Birthday Party this year! We invited everyone hoping some could make it. Every single child we invited came!...
It was an hour and a half of absolute utter insanity and fun chaos!...
Look how cute they all are! Top- Jay Couch, Archer Smith, Ada Densley, Ainsley Simmons, Piper Holbrook, Brindslee Romph, Janie, Farah Pedersen, Lydia Snedaker Bottom- Matthew Swift, Chase Breinholt, Wyatt Lloyd, Sophia Torres, Hadley Sommer, Sam Scott, Liza, Jr. Coons and Maleah Hill...
I had to get a picture of Janie and her best friend, Lydia...
 So Spoiled...

We had a little photo shoot before the party...

It doesn't get much cuter than that!

Janie just lost her bottom 2 teeth and is growing up WAY too fast! At preschool and with her friends, she likes to be the boss and the "mom" of the group. She loves to be in charge and likes to decide what they will be doing and how they will be doing it. It surprises me sometimes because at home she's just so laid back and patient and goes with the flow so effortlessly. Maybe at home she has succumbed to the middle child role and with her friends, she actually gets to have a say in something? I just think it's so funny to hear her playing with her friends while being so in charge and sure of herself. It's pretty much her way or the highway! Luckily, her friends seem to like it so she has found the perfect friends for her! Janie is my most imaginative child and is always pretend playing with her dolls. She talks in cute funny different voices for each character she is playing. I love her natural Long Island accent and I could listen to her talk all day. Actually, I do listen to her talk all day and I genuinely love it.

Janie is so loving and has a very tender heart and is my little buddy. She always wants to be where I am and is always trying to impress me with her new gymnastics tricks, a picture she colored for me, the outfit she picked out, the way she did her own hair and loves to tell me something nice she did for Eliza or Ivy. She is definitely a mommy pleaser and it is not hard for her to please me! I love how she still loves her "blankie" and falls asleep sucking on it. It really is so sweet. Janie is smart, feisty, funny, caring and hard working! I am proud of her every day and consider it an absolute pleasure to be her mother. Happy Birthday Janie Mae!

Eliza's 3rd Birthday

Oh my sweet Eliza. She woke up to a few presents and she was OVER THE MOON! Eliza wears her emotions on her sleeve and today was no exception! She was in heaven all day long! Girlfriend LOVES attention!

Her shirt is perfect for her... "WILD"...
Trying to do "3" with her fingers...
 Oh I love her laugh...
Stoked about her very own candy and Swimming Barbie. Eliza loves to give her Barbie's baths, so it was the perfect gift for her...
Excited about new jammies and a new church dress too...
 So happy...
 Janie green with envy...
Eliza's very favorite Disney character is Moana!...
 Hooray!
She is just so cute. She loved being sung too...

Eliza got a date with Mom and Dad too! She picked to go see "Moana" again...
With her very own drink this time...

It's my party, I can cry if I want to...

Eliza. So much to say. So little time. Eliza is my little spitfire and she is LOUD! She yells when she's happy, she screams when she's mad. She walks loudly and makes her presence known! She has more attitude than a squad of rich cheerleaders and more zest than ripe sour lemon. She's sweeter than a chocolate doughnut and smarter than any 3 year old I've ever known. She keeps me on my toes and when I'm lazy and get off my toes, I pay for it every. single. time. You can find Eliza doing any of the following things at any given moment- trying to paint her nails, running to the neighbors house to beg for Popsicle, climbing in the pantry looking for snacks, climbing on the sink playing with soap and water and toys, trying to use the plunger in the toilet, filling the bathtub full of towels and turning the water on until it overflows and starts dripping from the ceiling below, putting lotion all over herself, putting my expensive makeup all over herself, making herself a piece of toast, climbing on a bar stool to open the garage to ride her wiggle car anywhere she can get away with, coloring on the couch, walls, carpet, bedding, toilet, house, etc.... As I type this, I just heard the van horn honk. She is in the van doing who knows what. I'll be right back...

She was in the van eating an entire pack of gum that I hid in there from the kids to try to keep for myself. See what I mean?! And what am I to do? She's 3! She might sit down for 3 minutes at a time. I guess we'll see what the next mess is that I'll have to clean up after her. With Eliza, I mostly put out fires. I'm laughing out loud as I type this because she causes me so much grief and exhausts every ounce of patience I have! BUT she fills my heart with so much joy and love and pride! I'm proud to have a child that knows what she wants and does what it takes to get it! She is ambitious and relentless, unapologetic and independent. She's also very caring and tender and when she does get in trouble, she doesn't forget it. She will tell you, "Mom, you hurt my feelings." And then you somehow quickly forget that you just spent the last 2 hours shampooing the couches that she dumped a container of yogurt on and spread around because it was fun. What I really want to say is, "NO! YOU HURT MY FEELINGS!" Hahaha! But instead, she climbs up into my forgiving lap while I smell her sweet curly hair and adore and admire her beautiful soft cherub face. Liza is the first one to greet me in the morning. She'll be the first to jump into a fun family dance party and although she likes to make messes, she's pretty good about helping me clean up. She loves to run on stage during the Primary Programs and she's not even in Primary yet. She just wiggles her way right to the front and stands there and smiles and waves. She is fearless and fun and I couldn't imagine my life without the beautiful bright exciting rainbow of light that she is!

Happiest 3rd Birthday beautiful Eliza Faye!

Caleb's 7th Birthday

Caleb has been 7 for a few months now. Better late than never! He had the perfect day, if you ask me!

He woke up to the big bike he was hoping for on Christmas morning...
 Spoiled rotten...
Those teeth are gnarly! I hope he's my only child that will be getting braces at age 7...
He was so so excited about these water bottles! He was so excited that he left one on the bus the very next day...
This year, it was a a mom and dad date, but we let him invite his best friend, Ryder, over for some cake and ice cream. He wanted a chocolate cake with no frosting...
 Isn't this so cute?!?! Janie!...
I took him a McDonald's kid's meal for his school lunch...
 His little friends...
He picked Classic Fun Center for his date night with mom and dad...
At the top of something crazy...
Trying not to think about the grossest germs we were crawling through...
 Winning big!...
He went home with some fun prizes and even better memories!

Caleb is really truly such a great boy! The other day, I was talking to Mike and I just went on and on about how good Caleb is. I couldn't help but wonder where he got it from?!? Mike said he definitely didn't get it from us! Hahaha! He was born that way. We got so lucky! He's a great student and a very loyal good friend. He loves his friends fiercely and we're so lucky he has a lot of good ones in our neighborhood. He's an awesome brother and always asks Eliza, "Are you still my best buddy?" He is always concerned for other's feelings and often "feels bad" for people that are less fortunate. We're working on how to react if you don't get your way, but nobody is perfect, right?

I remember the day he was born. He had the most handsome beautiful face and soft light brown hair. The most perfect kissable lips. (he still does) He is my cleanest child and it's not hard to get him to help with anything I might need. If he were writing this about himself, he would definitely want me to say that he is an awesome athlete, coachable, hard working, great student and a natural leader. He's just one of those people that grasps concepts and things usually come pretty easy for him. I'm sure he'll find something along the way to keep him humble. I love my sweet Calby! Happy 7th, baby boy!
