Christmastime!

5 kids 7 and younger gave us the best Christmas ever. But before our Christmas post, here is a little of what we did throughout the month of December. We tried to stay in as much as we could to keep Ivy healthy, but we still managed to have some fun!

Speaking of Ivy, here she is in her beautiful Christmas dress on the Sunday before Christmas 2 months old...

I'm glad I capture so much good. My days are hard and long. These pictures give me so much joy!...

Santa and Mrs. Claus surprised us at Grandma and Grandpa Bennion's house! It was SO MUCH FUN!

Janie asked for an iPad and a REAL phone. Santa said he had a few pads for her eyes that she could have...
Caleb asked for a gumball machine...
Ivy meeting Santa for the first time...
Claire asked for a skateboard...
I said I have everything I could ever want, but a new house would be nice...
Liza was her sweet friendly self and gave Santa a big hug...
She's got ninja moves...
Nope. A present didn't help...
Some of the crew...
A few of our favorite people...
Caleb feeling bad for Liza...
Christmas is so magical!...
Caleb is the best big brother trying to comfort Liza...

Thanks, Grandma and Grandpa!...
At the beginning of December, our elf, Chippy, comes out of the box and starts his magic! He watches the kids for good behavior and reports back to Santa. He's supposed to hide in different locations throughout the house and the kids love looking for him each morning. Chippy kept forgetting to move and hide. Finally, Claire wrote him a card in hopes to re-spark his magic...
CUTEST THING EVER... Chippy's magic came back right away when he got this cute card...
We loved going to see some fun lights...

Liza came running outside one day while I was taking some trash out. She quickly realized that it was COLD and she didn't like that very much...

We've had lots of fun playing in the snow this winter...

The kids played "gymnastics" and Claire was the teacher. Bud wasn't very happy with Caleb's getup.
I spend most of my days holding and loving on her. She is the most perfect sweet baby. She is so so good and patient...
Janie likes her too...
Caleb loved holding his cousin, Seth's, snake. YUCK!...
Liza loves Claire and Janie's hats and shoes. She is hilarious...

Caleb started his first season of basketball. It's my favorite. I tried to get a picture of him smiling at the camera, but it was impossible. He was totally focused on the game! He is such a good little athlete. It's definitely where he shines. He loves sports and I love him!...
I rotate with some of my friends in the neighborhood watching kids. This day was pure mayhem. One kid pooped his pants(not in a diaper) and another kid peed all over my bathroom floor. Somehow I still love them all so much...(Luke, Janie, Caleb, Lily, Archer, Max, Connor, Owen, Liza)
Claire had her Christmas piano recital. She's really starting to be such a good little pianist. Here she is with one of her best friends, Lainey Smith...
She played "Deck the Halls" solo and "Up on the Housetop" duet. She did absolutely perfect. Now she's not allowed to play ANYMORE Christmas songs until next December...

Cal had Elf Day at school...
Making ornaments for friends...
He doesn't have brothers, but friends are pretty close. Feet to the face don't phase these stinky boys...

Bud and I surprised our kids and the Breinholt family one night and told them the story of our Savior's birth. It was really sweet and special...

More snow and sledding fun...

Our annual Christmas Eve lunch tradition at Longhorn Steakhouse. People think we're crazy bringing our whole family out to dinner. And we are. But they usually behave really well when it's just the 7 of us. They are really good kids...

Janie and Archer. They got married that day...
Oh my sweetest...
This girl LOVES her lipstick just like her Grandma Dodo! Her teeth!
What a fun month! Christmastime is the BEST!
