Thanksgivingtime 2015!

A little of this and a little of that during our Thanksgiving week...

She is SO CUTE!...
He is THE BABY WHISPERER with Ivy! He can get her to sleep in no time flat. He gets up with her in the night a lot. I used to never "let" him get up with babies in the past because he had to work the next day. This time, I have had NO PROBLEM asking him to get up. I don't know if it's because I'm older or what, but I need all the help I can get in the middle of the night! I'm SO TIRED. These two have a sweet bond...
Claire loves putting Liza on her hip. They decorated the entire tree for me this year and it looks great!...
 Janie helped too...
One of my favorite school projects by Cal...
Our plan is to be done having children.(Not that it's any of your business... ;)) But, before I gave away Caleb's clothes, I tried to pick out a few things that a girl baby could wear. I couldn't get myself to get rid of it all. So, Ivy wears a couple of boy things every once in a while to fill my boy void for a day...
Claire loves when I try new hairstyles on her head and always asks me to take pictures for her. I'm such a hair rookie. I try...
I love looking in the mirror while I hold her. I don't get this view very often. She's so cute and squishy...
Ivy and I got a night out with Grandma Peterson and my dad. It was so great to see her. She told me a story of when she bought a house without telling Grandpa Bill and she only had to put $50 down! She's getting old and forgetful and told me the story a few times. She was SHOCKED when my dad told her that she has 7 children. It was hilarious and so cute! She has gone through so much heartache in her life and she is always happy and gentle and kind, but still has some sass. I love her dearly...

After dinner, Ivy and I got some Christmas shopping done....

Finally, Thanksgiving Day... The first half of our day was at my parent's church and Caleb stuck by me in the Mother's Room while I nursed because he wasn't feeling well...
Liza and Bud went home because she threw up all over the Thanksgiving table. So, that was awesome. I got to hang with these guys instead...

I love my nieces so much! Pretty soon, they'll be holding their own babies...
Caleb not feeling well... Ivy being a baby... Can we go home now?...
 Twinner shoes!...
We snuck a picture at Dody's after Liza got a little nap. This is our first family picture with all of us and oh it makes me so happy to have us all together!...
Poor Liza so sick and so cuddly and quiet and sweet. It's no fun to have a sick baby, but the cuddles are pretty perfect.

Okay, we don't want to be sick anymore. Hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving! We have so much to be thankful for and are thinking and praying for those who might be feeling alone or down. Next up... Christmas!

Ivy 1 Month Old...

Everyone asks me how the transition is going from 4-5 children. Actually, Ivy gives me a little peace and quiet and makes me stop and take it all in. One of my favorite things about nursing is how it forces you to slow down and really look at what's going on around you. Having 4 kids under 7 is really crazy, but having 5 kids under 7 is the same crazy. Not much has changed except for the fact that I don't sleep much and when I do, it's never good quality sleep. So, that part has been killer, but everything else has been really special and sweet. All of the kids ADORE Ivy. They are always kissing and loving on her. Claire is old enough to pick her up when she's crying and bounce her to calm her down. Caleb loves to give her open-mouth kisses all over her face and head. It kind of drives me crazy because she always smells like spit. We're working on that one. Janie loves to talk baby talk to her and lay by her. Eliza, like Caleb, kisses her any time she walks past her. Ivy has been the most amazing blessing to us all. She adds so much love to our family! I almost can't remember life without her.

I tried to take some pictures of her in this darling little bonnet from Grandma Julia, but she wasn't quite cooperating. Oh well. She's cute even when she's sad...

Sometimes I stop and wonder, "Is this really my life?!?!" We pretty much don't leave the house these days and don't comb hair much either. I'm still trying to get my crap together from when I had Janie almost 4 years ago! Take it easy on me...

Bud and I, however, did make it to the Jazz game with Bud's work. We were able to watch it in a suite which was lovely. I needed a place to nurse, so a nice lady took Ivy and me into another suite and had the place to ourselves. I had to take some pictures of Ivy on her 1st month birthday in this big chair...

She is so sweet and delicious. I'm hoping that at her 2 month post, I'll be a little more rested...

Happy Halloween!

Before Thanksgiving gets here in 2 days, I thought I should share our Halloween. It was a blast, like always! We are still finishing up all the candy. I should have thrown it all out a long time ago. Here are all of our cutest characters...

Our baby unicorn. This is so fitting for Eliza! She is one of a kind! I need to do an entire post about her because she is just so dang cute and fun right now! She's learning all kinds of words and gives so many hugs and wet kisses and loves. My favorite is when tell her I love her and she says, "MWUAH!" and gives me the biggest kiss. That's how she says "I love you." It's also the cutest thing on earth when it's her turn to say prayers and she jibber jabbers and folds those chubby little arms and says, "dank doo." Ugh she has my heart. She loves to run up to you and hug your leg tight when you're not watching. She also loves to color on furniture and walls and gets into everything. When she gets caught, she just looks at you with the BIGGEST cheesiest smile. She knows when she flashes that guilty grin, she can get away with anything. She is such a sweet heart with so much personality! Can I also say that she is the BEST big sister? She loves to pat Ivy's head and kisses her 1,000 times a day. Poor Ivy always smells like spit. I love her so much! It was her first time trick-or-treating and she was loving it. She's the happiest when she's outside...

Not so sure about the headband...
And of COURSE our Tink! She was Aurora at preschool too. She would have been anything girly and sparkly! She's the perfect Tinkerbell. She trick-or-treated the entire time and kept up with Claire and Caleb just fine!...
A couple of Claire's friends went as twins and I was so proud of Claire because she wanted to do her own thing. She's not afraid to be different and I love that about her. She was the perfect and most darling little black kitty. It's so fun and so sad to see her growing up so much!
Back to Liza.(can't help it) She was loving her lipstick....

Don't you just want to squeeze her? She's the most squeezable person alive!...
"Do you want a piece of candy, Lizy?" "NO!" We have to remind people that no means yes when it comes to Liza. She says no in response to pretty much everything. It just adds to her charm. When she actually does say yes, it sounds more like "A$$". I want to bottle her up forever.
Leonardo the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle! The coolest kid in town! He loved having his Kindergarten Halloween party this year.
Caleb is THE BEST big brother to Eliza and Ivy. He spoils them with love and helps them get whatever they want. He can't resist kissing them, especially Ivy. I'm so glad my girls have such a good brother. I think he'll protect them forever just like Leonardo. He has a gigantic heart of gold...
 Running...
 She's got swag...
So many hearts in my eyes...
And the perfect baby lamb just 13 days old. She was as cozy and as sweet as can be while the trick-or-treaters came and went...
Halloween will always be one of my favorite holidays. We like to have fun around here!
