Eliza - 18 months

One and a half and ready to take over the world! She knows what she wants, she knows how to get it, and she isn't afraid to tell you! She loves to cuddle, she loves to dance and she loves bananas. She's sweet and sassy, funny and testy, beautiful and silly. Eliza is one of a kind and one rare gem. I love when she points and gets excited and I love getting her out of her crib. She barks and roars at every animal. She is my little animal lover and is not afraid of them. She has a fabulous zest for life and will enjoy it with or without you! I love this spunky little queen bee!

I had to get a shot of her darling curls...

She's concerned about the sliver that she just got from the stairs that need to be refinished...
This is a face I see quite often. I can hear the sound coming out of that mouth as I type. She's yelling at me...
And just like that, she's as happy as apple pie...
I love putting her hair in a little bun. It's in her eyes if I don't pull it back...
She loves to knock on everything all the time...
 So funny!...
 So beautiful...
 Where'd your neck go, Liza?...
Thank you for the smile!... Notice the dead grass in the back? Well, Liza can reach the water shut-off lever in the basement. She shut off the water to the sprinkler for who knows how long. We finally noticed when our grass looked like that. She loves to mess with switches and buttons of any kind. She's definitely a button pusher!
 "Show me your teeth."...
A bit of a bobble head...
She's in the 25% for height, 75% for weight and her head size is in the 95%. We have to find somewhere to store all those brains! Gosh I love Eliza with all my heart! Happy 18 months!

First Day of School!

CLAIRE - 2ND GRADE

She was so excited! Her teachers are Ms. Smith and Sra. Gonzales. She told me that she can't decide which one she likes more. I think that's a good sign! Sra. Gonzales did make her cry once because she was talking to the boy, Ethan, next to her. Claire says that Ethan is "so annoying and always talks to me and I was just telling him to stop talking to me!" She's such a good girl. I'm so proud of her. I feel bad her teacher got after her. She has a tender heart and probably got really embarrassed. I could never get mad at her for getting in trouble for talking. My nickname throughout elementary was "Motormouth" because I never stopped talking. And I can tell she's a much better student than I ever was! She's an awesome reader and understands most Spanish!

Excited for a new year...
Gotta love all the things they want to dangle from their backpack...
Bud really is her favorite person in the world. They just get each other...
 She's such a beauty!...
 Here goes nothin!...
Waiting in line to go in...
K Mom. You can leave now!...

CALEB- KINDERGARTEN

Kindergarten will get you every time. It's funny how you can see their whole life flash before your eyes the second they get on the bus for the first time. His first 5 years have gone by WAY TOO FAST. Caleb is so sensitive and sweet and fun! His teacher, Mrs. Woolf, is as good as they come. I am so happy to have her as his teacher! Bud told Cal that she turns into a real wolf every night at midnight. He found out that wasn't true, but I think he was a bit worried at first. He's making friends just fine and loving riding the bus like a big kid! My afternoons just got a little more peaceful...

Showing me "K" in sign language for Kindergarten...
Ugh. He is SO SO SO HANDSOME! I can't stand his cuteness...
He was so excited about his new shark shoes...
Key chains on backpacks are way cool...
 Jumping for joy!...
And he's off. Just like that...
I met him at school to make sure he got to class okay. Here's Mrs. Woolf giving him a name tag. See you later, buddy! I cried on the way to the car and then on the car ride home. Then I walked into my house and put the babies down for a nap. Then I had 3 hours of pure silence. That's what dreams are made of...

JANIE- PRE-SCHOOL

If there was a person that could light up your day every single time, it would be Janie. She is so unique and special. Her name means, "Gift from God." That she is!!!! She about died when I told her that she could have Claire's old pink sparkly backpack. She couldn't wait to put it on and get out that door! I'm sure it will be full of lip gloss, barbies and hair brushes in no time. She is such a girly girl and so full of happy energy! Her first day was lots of fun and she is really excited about their class pet fish named "Swish." Her teacher, "Miss Mawlee" (Miss Marli) is a great friend of mine and I love that we get to walk just down the street for school!

Can you tell she's so excited?...
 The most beautiful little girl...
 Laughing at Caleb...
 That thing drowns her...
Starting to become quite the poser...
 Excited to go in...
 Happy...
Off she goes with her piggies and pink lips...

What a great year! I hope they learn lots and stay happy and confident like they all are. Those kids are my pride and joy right there! My life is so full because of them.
