Tink Turns 3!

We've had a lot to celebrate around here lately. I would celebrate Janie every single day if I could! There is no one in the world like her. She is always happy, always smiling and always saying clever, funny and smart things. She is always cracking us up with her wit and stories. Every morning and night before bed, she combs her hair to look like a rainbow. She figured it out all by herself. It's adorable and I feel bad when I have to change the rainbow into a "water fountain" with an elastic to keep it out of her eyes. She prefers the ultimate comb-over. Janie loves to start out conversations by saying, "Mom, wanna know something CRAZY?" or "Mom! Wanna know something WEIRD?" or "Mom! Wanna hear something FUNNY?" She's very animated and into what she is telling you and loves to talk with her hands. She loves to tell people that she is "like, so freakin big." or that "my dad is like so freakin big!" Not sure where she learned the word "freakin" but I'm sure it wasn't from me. Ahem. Consider yourself lucky if you get to sit down and chat with Janie and hear that lisp and see that smile and bright blue eyes.

Janie is our very own little Tinkerbell. She tinkers around the house making everyone around her in a better mood. She loves all things girly and sparkly and loves to give compliments. She's a really easy child and I'm so thankful I have her. Happy Birthday to my beautiful, Janie Mae!

Opening presents from her nice friends...

I think it was a success! Janie is 3 now, but if you ask her how old she is, she'll hold up 3 fingers and say that she's six or ten. I can't correct her. It's too cute! I love her so so much! Happy Birthday Janie Bug!

Happy First Birthday, Eliza!!!

Oh my goodness. Where do I even start with this girl? She's so beautiful and such a sweet cuddly baby. She loves to crawl to me and lay on my shoulder or lap. Her smile lights up my world and makes me laugh. Her scrunchy-nose face is the cutest baby thing I've ever seen! She is almost always a delight to be around. She's also VERY opinionated. If I could describe Eliza in one word, it would be FEISTY with a capital F! She has a mind of her own and isn't afraid to let you know! One minute, she'll be happily going about her day and the next minute, she'll be screaming bloody murder until you pick her up and hold her and hold her and hold her. DO NOT EVEN THINK about putting her down unless you want the ultimate baby wrath of Eliza. Even while you're holding her, she'll be sure to squeeze and pinch and bruise the back of your arms with all her might to ensure you don't even consider putting her down again. She pretty much won't do anything that the baby books tell you babies are supposed to do. She won't take a binki, bottle, sippy or any milk at all for that matter. If you're lucky, you can sneak in a drink during mealtime, but half of it usually gets spit out onto her cute outfit. She takes a lot of my energy, but gosh. She's lucky that she is worth every ounce of that energy being sucked from my soul. She has taught me so much about myself and about my limits. I'm stronger than I thought I was and I owe that to her. Thankfully, she is a momma's girl and I will never get sick of that. No matter how exhausted I am, my heart is always full when we get to sneak away and rock her in her quiet room upstairs. She gives me LOTS of big wet kisses and is very generous with her cuddles and hugs. It's funny that every child comes with their own unique personality and I love her sassy and sweet and endearing personality! She's got a lot of spunk and a lot of charm and a lot of love to share. Happy Birthday to my beautiful Eliza Faye!

We couldn't pass up her birthday without celebrating with some of our favorite people! Isn't she lucky to have such crazy grandpa's? Don't worry, Curt. We know you're crazy too!...

Well, she's spoiled. We just loved the excuse to eat cupcakes!...
She got a lot of darling outfits, toys and books. Claire made her a really cute puzzle that she was very proud of...
You can see the jealousy oozing from Janie and Caleb. Hahaha!...
Hooray! She loves to lift her arms like this...
She's starting to stand on her own for a few seconds. I think she'd have no problem taking a few steps, but she's a little scared of that for now...
 Hooray!...
Opening her first present from Mom and Dad. It was her first doll...

 HAHA. She's so freakin cute!...

This picture of my dad cracks me up! I can read his mind, "What are they going to do with all this crap? Is there something in there I can take my chickens?" Haha! He's so nice to come and support my family.
Cute Janie is just happy to be here...
 Cutie pie...

 She loves to point!...
 I'm done, Mom...
I think more got on her leg than in her tummy. But then again, look at that tummy. I could be wrong...

I think she turned out to be one happy baby! It was a day of firsts. Her first doll, her first cake, her first pig tails and her First Birthday! We love you so much, Liza. We hope your birthday was as wonderful as you!
