Merry Christmas!

This year, we slowed down a bit and stayed home most of Christmas Day. It was so lovely and perfect. Claire got a keyboard and will start piano lessons next month. Cal got a new bike, Janie got a slide and Eliza got a little toy. Now times that by 20 and that's about how many gifts they each got over a few days. Grandparents and Aunts and Uncles SPOILED them ROTTEN! As long as they don't outdo us, I'm fine with it. ;) Getting them gifts brings me so much joy and it does for all of them too! Why isn't is as fun to buy gifts for adults?

We got together on the 23rd for Breakfast for dinner and a little gift exchange...
Merry Christmas Sunday! I love getting them dressed up for church the Sunday before Christmas. They look like little angels...

Claire and Caleb hung up all of the ornaments on the tree by themselves this year. They did a great job! I didn't need to fix it...
I love Claire and Eliza in this one...
At Grandma Catherine and Papa Tom's house on Christmas Eve...
Deep in conversation. What do you think of the beard?...
Grandma asked Eliza to be a lamb in the nativity. Cat ears will do...
Mary and a shepherd...
Wisemen, shepherds, angels, Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus...
Mary and Baby Jesus(Olivia)...
Mary asked me if I painted Janie's face white to look more angelic? She's just naturally THAT angelic...
Opening Christmas jammies...
Gosh darn CUTE...
My Janie and me...
She makes me so happy...
Excited for Christmas morning!...
Silly...
This was the first year we did a sibling gift exchange. They were all so excited about it! ESPECIALLY Claire. She put A LOT of time and thought into what she was going to get Janie for Christmas. She ended up picking a mini baby and mini baby bed. Claire was much more excited to give it then Janie was to get it. Claire also went into the basement and picked out some toys that she thought the kids forgot about and wrapped everyone in the family a present. She is my little care-taker. She made sure we all had a gift from her. She also made me a picture with a door and inside the door, she drew a picture of herself. She's so thoughtful and creative and I love her so much!...
Cal got her a hula-hoop. She's really good at it! Who knew?!... P.S. That spider is a toy...
Santa did a great job. I'd have to say that Mrs. Claus has the best job in the world!...
HA! I LOVE Cal's face when he walks in to see the presents...
Hooray! So much fun! And it looks like Santa left over a few cookies and the reindeer couldn't eat all of the carrots...
Happy so far. Chippy Longstocking (our elf) gave her a Jasmine doll...
And Chippy gave Claire a lego set...
And Chippy gave Caleb a mini hoop...
Chippy brought Eliza some wrapping paper. As much as she wanted! What a nice elf!...
I love this picture of Bud and Claire. Claire is the ultimate Daddy's girl. She does what he tells him and she is his sidekick. Claire thinks that Bud is the coolest/funniest/best thing to walk the earth. They have a really special relationship. He has patience when I don't. He makes her really happy. Gosh he is such a great dad! I went to volunteer at Claire's school the other day and the kids were watching a Christmas movie. It was a fun pajama day and they brought a blanket and pillow too. When I got to her school, she was sharing her pillow with her friend, Isaac. Isaac has red hair. I think she might have a thing for him and I think it's because her dad has red hair. She knows as well as I do that there is something special about those redheads!...
Lizy's new toy...
Claire got some darling gold sparkly boots. Of course I bought them and picked them out. The tag said, "To:Claire From:Dad". She just ranted and raved about how great and cute these boots were! They are her favorite! And she keeps saying, "Dad picked these out all by himself!" Of course, Buddy went right along with it. I'm the one that needs brownie points from this girl! Somehow, I think that if they were from me, she wouldn't have liked them nearly as much...
The kids enjoying this talking monkey...
Lizy just loved crawling around and enjoying the scenery...
He is one happy kid...
She got a couple of fun movies...
Self timer family picture on Christmas morning after presents...
And then, visitors! Caitlin and Brady brought a LOOT of gifts for the kids! Spoiled! We love them...
Uncle Matt bought Janie these darling princess shoes. She loves walking around in them. She also got that cute new purse which is full of about 20 lip glosses and chap sticks that people bought for her. Janie puts lip gloss on her lips all day long. She puts it on and wipes it on the inside of her shirt over and over and over again. It drives me crazy. Janie is so girly and hilarious!...
Thanks for the visit Matt, Dody and Curt! We are still enjoying our Nerf guns and roller blades. In fact, Claire didn't take off those roller blades for a few hours until her ankles started to hurt...
See...
Lucky us. Another visit from Grandma and Grandpa Peterson. Some say Eliza looks like Grandma Catherine...
Claire showing Grandpa her Lego creation...
Next stop: Grandma and Grandpa Bennion's house. Look at that darling clown outfit that Eliza wore on Christmas!...
Krissie spoiled the kids too. Janie got a baby Jasmine doll. I think it's because Janie cried the whole way back to the hotel on the last day of Disneyland after she realized she wouldn't get to see Jasmine...
What?! The kids have been asking for a ride-on toy for years. Lucky for them, Bud's truck doesn't fit in the garage, so there is room for it now. Of course Grandma and Grandpa delivered! So much fun!...
The crew at the Bennion's. Not sure what Grandpa's looking at. HAHA!....
Crazy kids...
These is a picture of 2 really happy parents...
And one really happy baby...
Merry Merry MERRY CHRISTMAS!
