Santa and Mrs. Claus

Claire, Janie and I spent an afternoon at the Grand America Hotel with some friends and enjoyed a tea party and story with Santa. It was so fancy and adorable. Santa was the real deal! Such a great day with my girls...

Love them so much...

The group of kids that went. Londyn, Lily, Bella, Preslee, Teagan, Claire, Violet, Lucy, Lily, Rilee and Janie...
Janie didn't quite understand the fanciness of it all. She just wanted some "pizza" and "chicken nuggets." They brought us some mini steak, seafood and cheese sandwiches instead...
Hot chocolate. Claire picked mint and Janie and I picked almond...
After we sang some Christmas songs with a live pianist and bells, the kids sat on Santa's lap. Claire asked for ice skates...
Janie wouldn't sit on Santa's lap, but was smitten with Mrs. Claus...
 Janie asked for a phone...
 Our best friends...
 Story time...
And finally, the real gingerbread house! Of course, right when we got there, Janie walked right under the ropes and put a nice footprint in the frosting door mat. I'm not sure I'll take a 2 year old next time. HA!...
We had such a great time!...

 Claire, Violet and Lucy...

I think we'll go back again next year!

December...

It's the most wonderful time of the year! We have been busy having a great time!

Enjoying some hot chocolate with Laynie and Crew...
Temple Square with friends. Claire, Lucy, Laynie and Janie...

I've loved going to Christmas parties! My sister's ornament party and I threw a great one too!...
 Lizy is the cutest...
We've been doing LOTS of shopping...

Mother's Room at church with Lizy...
Cleaning out Claire's craft drawer. YAWN...
 Sisters hangin out...
Caleb has been pulling this face lately...
Eliza's new trick. Putting her foot in my face while nursing...
 She's so beautiful!...
She's getting so big too fast...
Claire received a "Leader of the Week" award at school!
We went on a drive to see lights around town and ate ice cream....
The YW Beehives and I went caroling around the neighborhood. It was so much fun!
Oh what fun! Only 3 days until my favorite day of the year!

We Went to Disneyland!!!

I don't have the time to even begin to tell you how amazing this trip was! I hadn't been since I was 8 or so and I only went once for 1 day. It was the kids' first time. We flew out, stayed for 5 days, went to Disney for 3 days in a row, and flew home. It was magical, blissful, memorable and FUN FUN FUN! The kids were amazing and exhausted. It was a trip to remember!

We started the vacation off with a walk to Downtown Disney and some ice cream!...
 Jumping for joy!...
 Claire with her Lego friend...
 Legos for days...
Janie loved making little lego people...
 Flexing with Hulk...
Bud came a day late, so I had all 4 kids. Thank goodness for in-law's help!...
 Delicious dinner...
First day at Disney and we saw Minnie right away!...
 And Donald too...
Gosh I love them. There are not many things more attractive than a man carrying a baby in a baby carrier around Disneyland...
Teacups! Janie's favorite ride. I love Caleb's cute eyes in this picture...
Grandpa Bobby holding Eliza while we went on the Teacups...
 Claire and Aunt Krissie...
Waiting in line for It's a Small World...
I loved this ride! It was decked out for Christmas with lots of Christmas music. It was magical...

 Love those freckled faces...
Hey Pluto! Liza couldn't take her eyes off of the characters...
Taking a nap at Minnie's house...
 Minnie was a real gem!...
 Teacups AGAIN!...
We waited WAY too long for the Dumbo ride...

Walking from our hotel to Disneyland for day #2!...
Our group minus Brady. Oh what fun!...
 Our Bennion Bunch...
We ran into our pal, Mickey...
I'm telling you, the Teacups were a HIT!...

 We also loved the Carousel...

We met Elsa and Anna and they were so sweet. They spent about 5 minutes with us and Anna told us some great stories! Janie was in AWE...

 Oh look! Snow White!...
 The Bug's Life show...
 Hanging out at California Adventure...
Janie wanted a ride too. HA!...

Car's Land was so much fun! Car's was one of the kid's favorite rides. Mine too!...
 Toy Story was great too!...
 Queens of the castle...
 Princess Claire...
The 2 that made it all possible. Thank you guys!...
Buddy's family was so amazingly helpful with the kids. They were WONDERFUL!...
 Jungle Cruise Ride...
Hey Aladdin! Where's Jasmine? Janie cried the whole way to the hotel on the last night because we never got to see Jasmine. Poor thing...
Running like the crazy thang she is!...
 BUZZ!...
 All tuckered out...
 Cars Land!...
That's a lot of kids to haul around, Mikey...
Caleb had a little "accident", so he had to wear an extra pair of Janie's shorts that I brought. I put them on him and he said, "These are cozy and comfy, Mom! Can I keep these?"
On our way to California, I was sat next to this crazy old lady. She saw all of my kids and said, "I hate children. I do not do well with children." Ummmm...... WHO SAYS THAT?!?!?! I kindly offered to trade her seats and she said, "I have to sit in the aisle seat." She was sitting in between me and the oldest two across the aisle. She was the meanest old lady I've ever "met." I wanted to pinch all of my children at the same time so they would cry at the same time and all try to crawl over the top of her at the same time to get to me...
Thankfully, for the both of us, she was able to trade seats with somebody to avoid a terrible flight. Thank heavens! Boy it was hard to bite my tongue! Does she know that she can choose to be happy? It put a damper on my mood, but the flight, after that, was a breeze. I have some really great kids...
 More pictures from my phone...

The sweetest Asian lady came up to me and asked me if she could give Janie these Minnie ears. What a sweetheart!...
 We all enjoyed the ears...
 Even Mikey...
All tuckered out. None of the kids wanted to walk at the end of the day...
 Nap on the Ferris Wheel...
 Waiting for Cars...
 On our way home...
 Bug's Life...
They were the cutest cruising around the airport with their suitcases. I was worried I was going to end up pulling around 3 extra bags, but they were great and pulled them the entire time!...

 CA airport...
The flight on the way home wasn't so fun. The kids were exhausted. Eliza screamed and puked down my back and hair and Caleb peed his pants....5 minutes after he went to the bathroom. It was terrible. I kept telling myself, "I can do anything for an hour. I can do anything for an hour." Whew!
I have about 200 more pictures that I could have posted, but I'll spare you. It was such a great vacation! Claire's favorite ride was the Haunted Mansion, Caleb's favorite ride was Splash Mountain and Janie's favorite ride was the Teacups. Bud's favorite ride was Pirates and my favorite ride was Thunder Mountain. The poor kids got suckered into going on the Tower of Terror. We enjoyed some delicious food, great company and really special quality time together. Some of our highlights were: seeing the characters, churros at every corner, Soaring over CA ride, the light show, parade, ice cream, talking to Crush the turtle, Peter Pan, Janie running in front of you and looking up at you with those blue eyes and asking, "Hold You?", singing with Mary Poppins, swimming, and just enjoying the sunshine! The weather was perfect. We are already counting our pennies because we cannot wait to go back! It truly was magical.
