3 YEARS OLD!

I think I'll go ahead and say that Caleb probably had the best weekend of his life so far. He started his birthday off getting his new bike Friday morning from Bud and me. He rode it all day and rang his bike bell at least 100,000 times. That night, Bud and I took him to Chick-Fil-A (his choice) for dinner and then to Scheels to ride the Ferris Wheel. He was so hyper and excited! He wasn't afraid of heights at all. It was adorable. That was the first time that Bud and I had done anything alone with him like that. I think it's a great birthday tradition that we'll continue forever. Then, on Saturday, Grandma and Grandpa Bennion took him to dinner (Chick-Fil-A again) and to Build-A-Bear. He picked a cute horse holding a football. He had been talking about that date leading up to it for a week! As if that wasn't enough, finally, on Sunday we had a get together to sing and have cake and ice cream. Talk about SPOILED! He's so flipping cute. I think he's worth it. Enjoy the pictures!

Not sure about that smile, but am sure about Nemo. He LOVES that thing!
His helmet to go with his bike. Safety first! Notice his pajamas are inside out and backwards. He loves to take them off and do this while laying in bed.
This is happening while getting ready for Caleb's birthday bash...
 Not a fan...
 So exciting!...
Cars! Cars! And MORE CARS! Perfect for this boy!
 A hanger?...
Uncle Matt teaching him how to use his new Nerf guns...
And Dad teaching him how to use his new sling shot. Oh GEEZ!...
 His party invite...

He loves his new hammer set from Grandma Catherine...
 Scheels riding the Ferris wheel...

Caleb in his awesome new jersey from Aunt Krissie...
And his handsome new smile and bike...
This smile is the best! I let them dig in and have as much as they wanted before I threw it out...
 Build-A-Bear with G and G Bennion...

Ice Cream too!... (I told you it was the best weekend of his life!)

Sadly, he ended his Saturday night running backwards and turning his head right into the corner of the door way. It laid him out. He insisted on a bandaid on his forehead and slept in it and wore it to church the next day.
I could go on and on about how sweet this boy is. Bud says that he owns me because he kind of does. He is so sweet and silly and just darling. A few things you may not know:
-He LOVES to give hugs and kisses to anyone and everyone. The first time we met Christian (Kristin's boyfriend), he gave him a big kiss on the lips. It was hilarious and awkward all at the same time. If you leave him, don't even consider leaving without giving hugs and kisses! He'll freak.
- He says hi and bye to everyone. If he says hi/bye to a stranger and they don't say hi/bye back, he will throw a full on lay on the ground screaming and kicking tantrum. I gave him the nickname "Zero to Sixty" because of this. His tantrums are always note-worthy and passionate come without notice. For the LOVE, if you see him, please say hi!
- He loves to compliment me. He tells me my hair/jewelry/pants/shoes are pretty on a daily basis.
- He asks me to cuddle and hold him all of the time. I never say no.
- He throws anything and everything. He's got a great arm.
- He is faster on his wiggle car than any child I have ever seen.
- He LOVES yogurt. It is, by far, his favorite food.
- He loves to pray and sing. His prayer is the same every single time. "Dear Heaveny Fodder, Dank Wu for dis day. In Name Jesus Kist, AMEN!"
- He loves to growl and attack you when you're not looking.
- He loves books and his favorites are the ones with animals.
- He doesn't care about minding me. If he doesn't want to do something, he'll say "no" every time and not care one bit. He doesn't care if you put him in Time Out. He's got a mind and agenda of his own. It's maddening. This is so opposite of Claire. She'll do anything it takes to make me happy.
- He's very friendly. He loves to say, "MOM!" And I look and he just smiles. I'm not kidding. I think he knows what he's doing here.
- His nicknames are: Cal, Caywubee, Caliente, Buster, Buster Brown, Bugs, BuggaBoo, Buggy and BuggaBoozer. Weird, I know.

I'm looking forward to spending another year with my little Caleb! He is one special boy and I am so happy to be his mother.
