The Sunday before Christmas.

I just love when my kids are dressed up each Sunday. I should start taking pictures of them every week! It's always worth the extra effort to have them looking as sweet as they are. Today in church, I was touched by the spirit of Christmas and was once again reminded of our best gift of all, our Savior. I'm so thankful for the love and light and joy that the gift of our Savior has abundantly blessed my family, me and the rest of the world with! There is so much evil and I'm thankful that the the Savior teaches us to look for the good and to be the good in the world. If I have one hope, I hope to raise children that grow to be good people and to fight for the right and that are kind. It's so much easier to be happy than to be sad, but it's so important to focus on the good and the beautiful. It is everywhere! Today, I met a lady named Twinkle! If that doesn't make you happy, I don't know what will!  I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and even more,  I hope we can remember to keep the light of Christ in our lives! Here are a few pictures in our Sunday best...

Just two more days until Christmas. The "magic" of Christmas sure is fun too!

Elves

I have been craving some Christmas activities, so we suited up and prepped ourselves for a FREEZING night at Gardener Village with some Archibald's, a little shopping and a visit to the elves. Family time like this is my very favorite time of all!
We all loved the elves...
Can't you tell?
Before we left, Claire knew we were going out for a night on the town, so she put on some makeup first...
Only 4 more days until Christmas!

Winter/Christmas Time in Pictures

We're just enjoying this beautiful snow before we get sick of it by the time January rolls around...

Morning hot chocolate and this is the first time Caleb figured out to smile for the camera. I sure hope it's not the last...
Mike and I enjoyed a date night downtown at City Creek. We had dinner with his office and then he took me and bought me a new coat! My kind of date...
Here we are at dinner. We ordered 3 desserts...
These girls really got me in the Christmas spirit when they showed up at my door singing Christmas songs. I love our neighborhood and ward!
The Grinch showed up at dinner one night and the kids were not having it...
This precious girl is 9 1/2 months old now and crawling everywhere. It's really dirty. She is keeping me on my toes!
This is Claire smothering her sister like always...
A few weeks ago, we were leaving church and noticed Caleb dragging his pull-up from his foot. Somehow it came off and he dragged it all the way home. Lucky for us, it was dry and clean! Wahoo! He is 98% potty trained.

Janie sat on Santa's lap for the first time at Winder Dairy where we enjoyed some scones and hot cocoa to kick off the season...
Claire and I spend so much time in the kitchen together cooking and baking. She is such a great helper and my best friend. She makes me laugh so hard and also drives me crazy. :) We got in a little flour fight.
Sending her letter to Santa. She'd like a pink unicorn, please?
Having a Christmas tea party while I set up Christmas decor. Claire did this all by herself...
We also spend a lovely weekend in Deer Valley with the Bennions and Keuhls the day after Thanksgiving...
Janie's hair now lays flat since it's getting thicker and heavier...
This is so far from reality when it comes to me cooking...HA!... Cooking for Thanksgiving...
Claire drew a turkey family...
Caleb was stuck...
Just a lazy weekend night...
Oh my sweet baby...
SNOW...
Claire so proud of her tower...
They love to get all of their toys out and play store and then hate to clean it up...
They're giant snowworm...

We are loving this time of the year! Only 9 days until Christmas. I can't wait!

Thanksgiving...

was great! Rather than boring you with the details, just look at Janie instead. She'll be 9 months old tomorrow and started crawling yesterday. Sniff*Sniff*...

November...

November was been such a busy busy BUSY month for our family! Here's a quick little update and some important events from the month:

-Our toilet upstairs overflowed poopy water for 3 hours straight while we were at church and trickled down through the walls and floors all the way to the basement. We are currently living in a construction zone. We have to replace carpet and walls on all 3 levels of our home. (There is some good to this. We hate our carpet and tile.)
-Mike quit his job at Paychex and will start working at Flagship Financial at the beginning of next year. He was with Paychex for over 2 years, but is very excited to move on from there. We will have a couple of months of little income from Mike until he gets the ball rolling with his new job, so we are feeling the pressure!
-Mike is in the Elder's Quorum Presidency and is constantly helping people move. (poor guy) One bonus to his calling... he's now 100% with his home teaching. Ha! I am in scouts, and am surprised with the amount of time it is! Lots of meetings, planning and activities, but I do love it. Those 8 and 9 year olds are hilarious! They are obsessed with killing or hurting or making fun of Justin Beiber.
-My little side business is going well and gives me literally no free time and little sleep. Right now, it's called My Favorite Jemms, but I'm currently brainstorming for a new name because I just ran with that one on a whim. I don't love it. I'm having a website and logo made and I have 9 more days to figure out the name. I love using my adult brain and have learned so much about myself. It has given me a lot of confidence and I'm really glad I went for it! Hopefully there's a lot of good things to come!
-Milk got spilled in the back of our Envoy and smells horrible. I scrub and scrub and nothing! And it attracts bees!!! Gross! Any suggestions of getting rid of that smell?
-Mike and his partner bought a fixer upper home in West Valley and flipped it. It finally got completed this month and now we're just waiting for a buyer. We're thinking people probably don't move around the holidays. Yikes!
-Thanksgiving was lovely. Dinner with the Petersons. Dinner with the Burnetts. Park City and dinner with the Bennions.
- Claire, Caleb and Janie keep us so busy and so happy. With this month being so busy, they keep me in check and help me remember what's important in life! Without everything else that's going on, they do plenty to keep us busy enough! Babies make this world go round.

I'm hoping that December is a little more uneventful as far as spilled milk and toilet water goes. I'm so glad it's the Christmas season! My favorite.

Janie is 8 months old!

Janie turned 8 months old last week. She blesses me with pure joy and especially with her new clap that she just learned. Now, she just doesn't stop clapping and laughing. Are you kidding me?! It's the BEST! She also has 4 teeth and shows her emotions using her entire body clear through her toes. She is always happy and just as sweet as pie the entire day except from about 4:30pm-6:00pm while I'm trying to get dinner on the table and everyone fed. That's her favorite time to show me her little attitude, but I'll take an hour and a half a day anytime! She's a petite little thing, but full of life and love. Can you even stand the cuteness? I love her so much it hurts!

Here she is clapping and loving it...
 Happy. Happy.
 HAPPY!
Love her.

Halloween

I hear of a lot of people not liking Halloween and I don't know what their problem is! It's one of my favorite holidays. Everything about it is just fun! I loved my little pirates and kitty this year. Being a mom on Halloween is a major Mommy Payday! This year, the weather was perfect and we had hundreds of trick-or-treaters.

I hope you all haven't eaten as much candy as I have!
