Claire's 9th Birthday!

I was worried this would happen. She would get a year older. TIME IS SUCH A THIEF! Sometimes it makes me panic! Claire has grown up SO MUCH this past year! She is so kind and fun and funny! She has the best belly laugh. And if you plan on giving her any sugar, WATCH OUT! Girlfriend goes from zero to 60 and turns into a hyper laughing crazy person almost instantly. It's sometimes funny and sometimes maddening. She has gained a lot of confidence this year too! I couldn't ask for anything more than that! She excels at soccer and loves it. She's been taking piano lessons and hates it so we're taking the summer off. She is a good student and friend. She's active, sweet and respectful and talented too! I love Claire so much and I'm so thankful she'll be my life-long friend. Happy Birthday, Clairey!

Her favorite things- HER DAD, making brownies, lemonade stands, soccer, wearing baseball hats, friends, Activity Days, her new "mini-motorcycle", hiking, swimming, music, being in charge of FHE, doing hair, making crafts, Utah Utes, playing house, playing school, being outside and talking!

It was the year for a date night with Mom and Dad. She picked Cowabunga Bay and then dinner at Cafe Rio...

Earlier in the day, she also got ice cream and a new ipod shuffle from Gma and Gpa Burnett and her aunts and uncle. She told me that she almost cried because she was so excited! It was hilarious how excited she was. She looks so grown up with those in her ears...
She also loved her new birthday jumper...

We couldn't resist this cute scooter to give her to zip around on. She's been begging and begging for one and the whole family loves it! I ride it around too! First thing she did was put the stickers "BEAR99" on the back of her scooter for the license plate. Bear because of her nickname, Claire Bear and 99 because she just turned nine.
Her birthday fell on Father's Day this year. That also happened when she turned two. She loved sharing the special day with her dad and they both thought it was so fun to not have to lift a finger all day together. We couldn't have asked for a better daughter, that's for sure! We love our Claire Bear! Happy 9th!

Easter 2017

One of my favorite holidays fell on April 16th this year. I love celebrating Easter with my crew! The longer I'm a mom, the more simple I get with festivities. Maybe I'm lazy. Maybe I'm getting smarter. Either way, I've learned that the only thing the kids care about is that they get to do something fun and out of the ordinary.

Our little dollar egg dying kit did the trick!... Happy kids...
Caleb is so sweet with Ivy...
I love those smiles! Notice Ivy trying to color on the counter. They do it right under my nose and I still don't notice until 3 months later! Naughty...
The neighborhood egg hunt was a hit! Mike took a break from mowing the lawn to have some fun...

As if THAT wasn't enough, the Easter Bunny showed up to the house too!...

And finally, my favorite Sunday of the year. My beauties on Easter Sunday...
Ivy wasn't having it. She was trying to escape the entire time...

 Ivy stinker...
 I'm the luckiest...

 There she goes again!...
 OH MY HEART! They're perfect...
Next year, she'll be a pro at smiling for the camera like the others...

 And there she goes again...
 My amazing boys...
We finished the day at Grandma Catherine and Papa Tom's. You can tell my dad hasn't been here to take care of the lawn! Which made the perfect grass for hiding eggs! Haha!
Happy Easter!

Ivy 18 months old!

I don't blog about Ivy nearly as much as I'd like to and not nearly as much as I should. She is an absolute celebrity around here! We all adore her to pieces and fight over her attention! Ivy spoils us with wet kisses and leg hugs when you're cooking in the kitchen or getting ready in the bathroom. She cracks us up when she says, "hi hI Hi HI HIIII!!!!" louder and louder until you say hi back. She can also hold her own and gives the best stink eye and furrowed brow. She loves to say, "STOP IT". Coming from her, it's super funny and sounds more like, "DOP ID". Ugh she makes my heart EXPLODE! She's learning more words every day and has the cutest laugh and most darling personality! Ivy is the perfect mix of sweet and spice. We love our #5!

She jumps on the tramp any chance she gets and her hair is always a treat for us to watch...
 Bahahaha!...
Date night out with Mom and Dad...
She is such a beautiful little cherub...
She was loving all of the attention as the only child at the table...

I couldn't resist posting this cute one with Eliza. These two are so cute together and play really well with each other...
On her first day of nursery giving me her famous dirty look...
Hahaha! She didn't like what was going on...
She REALLY didn't like nursery for a couple of weeks. She screamed and cried. I never had a child like that. We decided to try putting her in the older nursery class with Eliza to see if the would help. It turned out to be the best idea and she runs right in every week now! She must think she's older than she really is...
She has a bit of a naughty streak. I can't get mad though. It just means she's super creative, right?...
I mean... why NOT plaster your head and eyeballs with Mom's face moisturizer?...
She also learned a new trick on how to take off her clothes and diaper. Some days I get her dressed 10 times and she's almost always naked when I get her up in the morning...
She also loves to be on top of the table...
All tuckered out and as sweet as pie...
 Love...
Her first ice cream cone. She devoured it. Just like her mother...
We all try to be around her as much as we can!
Not sure why I was the lucky one to be blessed with such amazing children. Ivy is no exception. She is so much fun! She's funny and charming and still lets me hold and kiss her to my heart's content.(My heart will never be content. I wish I could do it all day every day.) I love my sweetest most beautiful and adorable Ivy Anne!
